These harps were popular with Suzuki teachers and others that taught young children and did not rely on extensive use of levers right away. The tone with the levers engaged is not great The levers can be removed from the harp, placed on a block, and hit with a hammer to tighten them. The handle is held to the lever with a rivet that can become loose and flop down. The levers have a sharp edge that can shave the string as the lever is flipped up. The sound is not particularly good and the levers have earned a bad reputation over the years. Every time a major change was made to the instruments the number was changed.
